About

Baileys Basics was established in 2008 in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.  This company grew out of our family’s commitment to living as chemical-free and natural a lifestyle as possible.  Once I had developed tried and true methods of cleaning and healing around our home I felt led to share these products with our friends and family.  My growing web business was a natural extension of that.

We are committed to being good stewards of what we’ve been given.  My products are made from simple, natural ingredients, and are packaged in simple, recyclable containers.  You won’t find too many frills or unnecessary things – just the Basics. I ship in basic packaging with recycled materials.  I also encourage you to recycle or reuse the packaging material in order to be good to the earth.

This store started with laundry powder, scouring powder, and a few salves.  As our family’s needs have changed, so has my business. As of 2011, my inventory has mostly changed to baby-focused items such as pouch slings, burp cloths, crocheted blankets and washcloths, and hand-sewn felt play food.  In addition, I’d love to crochet dishcloths or throws, embroider towels or napkins for your home, or make hot/cold packs or cat toys for you.  Herbal tea blends and scouring powder are something I almost always have on-hand, so they’ll usually be found in the shop as well.

All of my products are items that we use in our home, and anything offered here is made with the same care I take in making products for our family and friends.  There are no second-quality offerings because I only want first-quality products leaving our home!  My store inventory varies with the season and is usually reflective of what’s currently used in our house.

At Baileys Basics I’d like to encourage you to live simply and to live each day as fully as you possibly can.  We pray these products will help you do this. Thanks for looking, buying, asking, and suggesting!
